Apart from Angkor Wat Temple, our trip offers travelers the rare opportunity to visit the Bantey Srey Temple and the Thousand Lingas . This sandstone plateau was sacred to the Khmer people and was considered to be the mythical birthplace of the Cambodian Kingdom. The riverbed has been carved with a myriad of lingars, as are a series of other carvings depicting Apsaras and other figures.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL SIEM REAP – FLOATING VILLAGE – BUDDHIST MONASTRY
Arrive in Siem Reap from Battambang, transfer in the hotel and check in. After settle in the hotel already our professional tour guide and driver will pick you up again from the hotel and take you to visit the Buddhist monastery in order to invite the monk for blessing. After having the monk blessing already you will continue your visit to the floating village on Tonle sap lake.Tonle Sap Lake (16Km south of Siem Reap , The amazing lake and river system of the Tonle Sap is unique. This vast lake, the largest in SE Asia, fills with the waters of the Mekong each year) Take boat ride for 1h 30m sightseeing the floating village.
DAY 3: SIEM REAP – ANGKOR TEMPLES
DAY 4: SIEM REAP – ANGKOR TEMPLES – BANTEAY SREY
Leaving the hotel at 8am and going to visit Beng Melea temple( 70 kilometers away, you can see the rice paddy, people doing work on the farm, real country side activities and this temple has just discovered, the the temple is as big as Angkor wat but it is not high, it is covered by the forest and there are trees growing on top as well.
OVER NIGHT AT THE HOTEL
In the morning the tour guide and the driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Phnom Penh. It will take you about 6 hours to arrive in Phnom Penh. After 6 hours journey the way our tour guide will show the local market on the way and stop for lunch at the local restaurant. You will also get to see the local food on the street such as fried spider and friedcricket. You will continue your trip and get to visit the great mountain of man and woman that is called PHNOM PROS PHONM SRIE in Kompong Cham town, you will arrive in Phnome Penh Capital City. On arrival in Phnom Penh Capital City, we will be welcome to the hotel. Wasting no time, during the half-day city tour, we will witness the National Museum of Khmer Arts, with its warm red terracotta and its gracefully curved roof topped by dozens of guardian nagas. Then we continue to the nearby Royal Palace, one of the most beautiful samples of Khmer palace, which allows us to visit the precious Throne Hall, Prasat Khemarin, Prasat Samrn Phirum, Hor Preah Khan, Chan Chhaya, and Silver Pagoda where the king regularly does the warship.
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, our professional tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to visit Wat Phnom. We will drive pass through the River Front Parkwhose scenery is much worth shooting, and continue to the only one hill in town with sacred sites called Wat Phnom. After Wat Phnom We will Drive to the killing fields of Choeung Ek (16 km south of Phnom Penh). Between 1975 and 1978 about 17.000 men, women, children and infants (including nine westerners) detained and tortured at S-21 prison were transported to the extermination camp of Choeung Ek. They were often bludgeoned to death to avoid wasting precious bullets. Fragments of human bone and bits of cloth are scattered around the disinterred pits. Over 8000 skulls, arranged by sex and age, are visible behind the clear glass panels of the Memorial Stupa, which was erected in 1988.Return to Phnom Penh. Visit the Notorious Tuol Sleng Museum. In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21). It soon became the largest such center of detention and torture in the country. More than 17.000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeung Ek to be executed; detainees who died during torture were buried in mass graves in the prison ground. The museum displays include room after room of these photographs of men, women and children covering the walls from floor to ceiling; virtually all the people pictured were later killed.Visit the Russian Market (Psah Tuol Thom Pong), a lively outdoor market where you will find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs .
DAY 8: PHNOM PENH DEPARTURE – BOAT CRUISE ON THE MEKONG RIVER
After Breakfast at the hotel our professional tour and driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to the boat dock for catching the boat cruise journey on the Mekong delta in to south Vietnam. End of our services at the boat dock, the professional tour guide and the driver will say good bye and we wish you all to have a pleasant holiday and journey on the boat in to Vietnam.
