Our experience truly would not have been the same, and we would have had to endure so many more headaches had it not been for Hak. The room that we had was ideal and immaculate, with a nice fan to cool us off, both at the end of a long day of travel and a long day of exploring the temples of Angkor. The furnishings were the nicest we saw in southeast Asia and made us feel more than at home. Included breakfast, free wifi, a wonderfully relaxing garden area, and upstairs balcony allowed us to experience Siem Reap at our own comfort and our own pace. Thanks much for recommending Rain, our tuk-tuk driver, who went above and beyond the call of duty by not only carrying us around and waiting for us at the temples all day long, but also making himself available to take us out to get dinner in the city that night. I cannot say enough good things about the services that provided, and would recommend that anyone that comes to Siem Reap stay at Hak\'s House. Very close to everything that you want to see and as reasonable a price as you are going to find anywhere in the city. Plus the hotel is set back far enough from the noise of Pub Street to get restful sleep, but close enough to make a short walk or tuk-tuk ride to see all that the town has to offer by day or by night. Thanks again for everything Hak! You are the best! Miss. Clare, Posted Date: 2011-04-21 14:50:54From: United Kingdom, E-mail: sokphat08@yahoo.com
Hak\'s House is a gem of a hotel. Lovely atmosphere and amazing value for money. The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. Bathroom also very pleasant. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. On arrival we were greeted with a drink and a run-down on how to get the best out of the Angkor historical site. The food at the hotel was delicious. Everyday they had a special, consisting of a starter, main dish and a fruit shake. The only drawback was the location, the hotel is quite a way from the town centre, but there is always a free tuk-tuk into town. Good wifi connection in the room. The place is spotless and the staff (particularly the manager) are amazing. There\'s a tradeoff to be had between being conveniently located to the temples, and being right in the middle of town. This is not in the middle of town, but they offer free tuk tuk transfers into town (and it\'ll cost you $1 USD to get a ride back). The restaurant is so so, and the laundry service is reasonable standards ($1 a kg), and the place is so beautifully appointed All in all, I will recommend Hak's House. Hey, Hak,
Hope everything is fine. Sometimes I envy what u've been doing there in Siem Reap, comparing with my high pressure job draining me out every day in this metropolitain full of concrete skyscrapers & mechanistic people, a Siem Reap tour guide must be living in heaven. The website is wonderful, the same as your service ,driving and our vacation in Siem Reap. Cheer, dude. Hope to see you soon in the nearest future.
Take care & stay in touch! Name: yiming , Post Date: 2009-12-29 21:13:51
